Madhavan Swaminathan has been awarded the Guest Professorship by Zhejiang University in the Dept. of Information Science and Electronics Engineering for his pioneering contributions to electronic packaging. This professorship was awarded by Professor Liu Xu, the Dean of Information Technology and Engineering, Zhejiang University at the IEEE Electrical Design of Advanced Packaging and Systems Symposium held in Hangzhou, China on Dec 13, 2011. Zhejiang University is one of the premier institutions in China and ranks no.3 amongst over 1000 universities in China. The guest professorship is awarded to extraordinary individuals who have had an extraordinary impact on science and technology. Through this professorship, Prof. Madhavan Swaminathan will be invited to deliver guest seminars and collaborate with the faculty at Zhejiang University and jointly supervise the postgraduate students.
